Primary Purpose :
Support Skyward ERP and auxiliary software systems used by the Human Resources and Business Services Departments. Assist in performing technology and administrative duties for the Human Resources and Business Services Departments in connection with the ERP, including ensuring efficient and effective access to information and related technology to all campuses and administrative departments.
Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources Management, or other education area from accredited university
High School Diploma / GED required
Special Knowledge / Skills :
- Knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning System required
- Knowledge of Skyward Student Information System and Ascender Human Resources Information System, preferred Knowledge of PEIMS practices as it pertains to the financial area preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft-based software in particular Excel
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement and maintain Human Resources and Business Services applications
- Understanding of business workflows and processes and skill at organizing and analyzing data and business processes, via forms, workflows, and reports across multiple business functions
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and conduct business process reviews and fit / gap analyses
- Knowledge of reporting tools to write and create reports, including the use of Forecast5 tools
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Experience working with databases, database structure and queries, CSV files and format, and other methods to share data across systems
- Working knowledge of Application Program Interfaces (API) and the ability to utilize APIs effectively for communication between systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices as related to data privacy
- Understanding of state laws, state data standards, and district policies, procedures, and business rules as they pertain to school district data reporting and data management
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Experience :
Major Responsibilities and Duties :
System Management
1. Collaborate with administrators, business users, and other departments to determine needs, objectives, functions, and features to develop new technical solutions within the ERP system.
2. Coordinate work efforts with the Payroll, Finance, HR, Team Data, PEIMS, Skyward SIS, and other teams for application change controls and system performance issues.
3. Oversee the installation and testing of ERP network hardware, software, and upgrades, and identify and resolve issues. Implement and maintain all system configurations and ensure that system maintenance is performed.
4. Monitor and analyze system utilization and performance; recommend improvements are needed.
Technical Support
5. Act as a liaison between developers and end-users to ensure technical compatibility and satisfaction.
6. Consult with end users (administrators, business users, and other departmental employees) to identify needs, analyze systems specifications, and correct related problems.
7. Train non-technical staff as needed.
System Security
8. Develop and implement application security policies and conduct regular audits. Monitor security compliance and prepare status reports on security matters.
9. Monitor performance of HRIS and ERP System.
10. Oversee the implementation of a backup process to ensure that all backups are performed on a regular basis and district data is restored as needed.
Policy, Reports, and Law
11. Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the area of information management and technology.
12. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
Other
13. Communicate effectively in oral and written form with the internal or external customers including training other district staff. Work with the Technology Information Specialist to create training materials.
14. Skill in and commitment to documentation and writing of documentation to describe program development, logic, etc.
15. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Environment : Work is performed in an office environment; frequent on-call and after-hours work; occasional district-wide travel; may be required to be on-call 24 hours a day
