JOB SUMMARY
The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive company-wide training program that aligns with JST's Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures that employees are proficient in their department-specific competencies and have a thorough understanding of key company processes. By maintaining a well-trained and QMS-compliant workforce, the Training Coordinator directly supports JST's commitment to operational excellence.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with the Quality Director and the Human Resources (HR) department to design and implement a robust training program that meets the needs of all departments within the company.
- Develops effective training modalities based on best practices in adult education to ensure engaging and impactful content.
- Develop a variety of training methods, including in-person, virtual, and on-the-job training, to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Continuously review existing, and identify new, key competencies for each department in collaboration with department heads.
- Create assessment tools to evaluate employee competencies and track progress.
- Ensure employees achieve and maintain required proficiency levels in their competencies.
- Ensure that all employees understand and comply with the company's QMS and its application to their roles.
- Develop and deliver training materials focused on QMS understanding and compliance.
- Establishes metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and employee proficiency.
- Regularly assesses and reports on training outcomes so that effectiveness can be improved.
- Evaluate and adjust the training program based on the industry's best practices and evaluation of metrics and reports produced from monitoring and evaluating the program.
- Act as a liaison between the Quality Department and HR to ensure alignment of training initiatives with onboarding processes and orientation.
- Facilitates communication with employees regarding training opportunities and requirements.
- Maintains accurate records of training activities, employee progress, and competency assessments to support compliance with industry standards and ISO 9001 certification requirements.
- Ensure all training documentation and media is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Work cooperatively with team members, communicate design constraints, and work within the team to achieve solutions.
- Able to work in various positions such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, laying, reaching with hands and arms, grasp, handle and operate hand and tools, as well as welding equipment.
- Responsible for other duties and task as assigned and, in some circumstances, may be completely unrelated to this position.
