Job Overview : We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Transport Aide to join our team at our Vascular OBL. This position involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and comfortable transportation of patients to and from our surgical center while acting as a key liaison between the facility, patients, and our practice.
Key Responsibilities :
Accompany transport vans, serving as a liaison between the vascular practice and patients.
Coordinate with multiple points of contact to ensure timely and safe patient transportation from their facility to our surgical center and back.
Communicate effectively with facility staff to confirm patient pick-up and delivery schedules.
Obtain signed confirmations for patient deliveries.
Assist in preparing patients for surgery upon arrival at our OBL.
Commit to working from the first patient pick-up through to the last delivery of the day.
Qualifications :
Flexible schedule with the ability to work early mornings and 12+ hour shifts.
Proven ability to multitask, adapt to changing circumstances, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certifications.
2-3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare, transportation, or patient care role.
Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Medical Assistant or LPN certification is a plus.
