The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. Requirements

Job Responsibilities :

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete digital DVIRs to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Safely maneuver trucks and trailers into loading / unloading positions, assisting with loading and securing equipment using industry-standard methods.
• Operate commercial vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations, including handling extra-legal loads and reading permits.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and driving hours, reporting discrepancies promptly to dispatch / management.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and on-site contacts via phone, text, or email.
• Work in all weather, including extended out of town work, with driver being away from home for one or more consecutive nights at a time may be required.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues to management as needed.
• Ensuring loads are of legal dimensions and the ability to read and understand permits when transporting extra-legal loads, remaining aware of any obstacles or detours that may place the vehicle or load in jeopardy.
