In search of MIG / TIG Welders who are looking to grow within a great organization in Brighton, MI.

Shifts Available : 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and 3rd (12 hour rotation shift)

Pay ranges from $19.50-$20.10 / hr

Key Responsibilities :

  • Thoroughly examine the surface of parts to determine the extent of defects such as dings, dents, and buckles.
  • Utilize Mig welding techniques to fill holes and gaps in defected parts, adhering to precise specifications
  • Conduct welding operations on sub-assemblies and final assemblies, ensuring high-quality welds for structural integrity.
  • Employ Tig welding techniques when necessary to smooth welded or defected areas, maintaining a high standard of finishing as specified.
  • Execute 100% rework on parts, requiring operator sign-off and meticulous documentation of all non-conformances.
  • Place reworked parts on in-process racks for leak testing to ensure the integrity of the welds and identify any potential issues.
  • Perform leak tests on component parts, promptly addressing and reworking any defects identified during the testing process.
  • Operate robotic weld cells, gauges, and leak testers proficiently to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • When necessary, manually assemble and weld complete exhaust systems from start to end using supplied component parts.

Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proven previous experience with MIG &TIG welding techniques (1+ years experience)
  • Familiarity with robotic weld cell operation.
  • Attention to detail in defect identification and correction.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
  • Adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to pass drug test & background check
  • Must be able to pass a weld test
  • Must have weld helmet
  • Great attendance and attitude!
  • Will need their own welding gear and steel-toed shoes
