POSITION SUMMARY
Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times. Perform various tasks involved in bagging / boxing operation including but not limited to setting up and operating bagging machines, handling parts and materials, packing parts and other related activities using hand tools, various type of packing materials. must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including but not limited to request for help from co-workers. Proper handling of finish parts and product to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Provide quality checks as determined.
Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late including weekends from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates welding machine in order to join metal spans in metal fabrication process
- May set up and operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications.
- Follows blueprints, customer specifications, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape mend, weld metal accurately.
- Uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams.
- May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.
