We are looking for an experienced Welding Fabrication Specialist for a great service company located in Costa Mesa, CA.
1st Shift (5 : 00 am - 1 : 30 pm).
Job Summary :
Under general supervision, performs precision hand welding using MIG, TIG, and ARC equipment; works to close tolerances and certifies work as requested;
and performs related duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Operates Heliarc, ARC, and MIG welding machines in accordance with Fab Shop procedures and plant specifications;
- Follows blueprints, production drawings, production procedures, and instructions;
- Confers with various departmental representatives to verify engineering plans, drawings, and specifications;
- Performs hand burning and gas welding;
- Repairs welds and structural welds;
- Cleans shop and maintains work areas and equipment;
- Sets up, operates, and adjusts related production equipment, as needed, including hand brake, sheet metal shears, grinder, lathe, saw cutter, and hand tools;
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Able to operate all types of welding machines;
- Able to operate related production equipment including lathes, brakes, shears, saw cutters, and grinders;
- Considerable knowledge of all phases of welding including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding methods and processes;
- Able to read blueprints, layouts, and fittings;
- Able to communicate and work cooperatively with others;
Compensation : $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
