POSITION DESCRIPTION
The position of Operator I will be tasked with performing multiple plant duties safely and efficiently while maintaining a safety-first attitude. This position requires management resources to adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, TCEQ, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able or willing to learn to operate other mobile equipment, including: haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader, excavator, sales loader, and dozer.Follow safety rules, regulations and procedures set forth by MSHA/OSHA and Alleyton policies.Safely perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, complete daily equipment reports and report unsafe equipment to supervisor or foreman.Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively operate equipment at all times.Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment.Assist maintenance personnel with plant repairs when needed. Perform preventative maintenance.Cross-train on other positions in the plant in order to serve as a relief to other operators.Demonstrates a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level and works as a team player.Ability to work in a confined area with other heavy equipment and ground personnel while maintaining awareness of surrounding hazards of operationMust be able to work on pipeline in the cold and the heat climatesDredge Operator requires many tasks greasing, maintain good housekeeping, perform pump jobsMust be able to troubleshoot problems – Performs other related duties as may be assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the policies, Programs & Procedures Manual.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
