Job descriptionPart of a team that develops submarine shipboard alterations. Learn while working with an experienced engineering staff. Conduct static analysis of mechanical structures. Conduct hydrodynamic analyses under a variety of at-sea operational conditions. Develop models to predict performance. Assist the Design Team with material selection based on in-process stress calculations as well as commercial and / or military specifications. Conduct quality assurance reviews of design and engineering products. Interface with customers and government sponsors. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering. Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining / holding a U.S. security clearance Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines : Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces. Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine. At least two (2) years business experience in : \n Working with MATHCAD Engineering Mathematics Software (or similar software). Working with Finite Element Analysis. Working with Microsoft Office.

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $77,600.00 / Yr. - USD $129,600.00 / Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
