Location : Pompton Plains & the Greater Pequannock, NJ (S & M Heating & Air)

Job Type : Full-Time | In-Person

Earning Potential : $28-$35 / hr depending on experience (plus commission pay)

About the Job

We’re looking for a motivated HVAC Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll use your technical skills to service and repair residential HVAC systems while also helping customers choose products and services that improve their comfort and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Service, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems
  • Work on split systems, package units, and similar equipment
  • Install HVAC equipment to code and company standards
  • Troubleshoot system issues and clearly explain solutions to homeowners
  • Recommend products and services that improve comfort and efficiency
  • Promote and upsell additional services or products as needed
  • Follow all safety rules and company policies

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-2 years of HVAC service, repair, or installation experience
  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and efficiency best practices
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused
  • Team player with a drive to grow and succeed
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
