Technology Sourcing Manager
This team is responsible for sourcing technology purchases (software, software as a service, infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. Primary responsibility is to develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies by working with key stakeholders on technology requirements, IT, security and legal, which then requires preparing and completing sourcing recommendations to various levels of management.
What You'll Do
- Understand the IT industry and the long-term direction GM / Software and Services is headed.
- Determine viable suppliers for technology requirements.
- Develop and manage suppliers under the guidance of Quality, Service, Technology, and Price strategies. This includes sound understanding of deadlines, required lead times, supplier contracts and application types.
- Active participation with key stakeholders, including Software and Services, the business stakeholder, Legal, and Security.
- Manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines.
- Adheres to Corporate purchasing and accounting policies and procedures.
- Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract package.
- Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process to manage Sourcing packages.
- Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process (Request for Quotation, Analysis of Quotation, Source Selection) to establish a capable / competitive supply base.
- Develop benchmarking for each sourcing package.
