Healthcare Job Details Location : Dallas, TX 75230 (Children's Tower, 3rd floor) - Texas nursing jobs Unit : Pediatric ICU & Step Down (Rapid Response) Contract Type : Travel Nursing - Pediatric ICU RN jobs Duration : 8-week travel contract Hours per Week : 36 Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00-07 : 00), rotating weekends (Fri & Sat) Number of Beds : 27-bed pediatric ICU EMR : Meditech Scrub Color : Royal Blue Estimated Weekly Pay : $2070-$2220 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Texas or compact state - Registered Nurse jobs in Dallas Minimum 1 year of Pediatric CICU / CVICU experience as a staff nurse 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse Experience with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients Proficient in managing arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines Certifications required : PALS, BLS, ACLS Ability to float to PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, and pediatric oncology units Preferred : 2 years Pediatric CICU / CVICU experience, neonatal cardiac patient care, and pediatric cardiac step-down / cardiology floor experience Pediatric ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, empathetic care to pediatric ICU and step-down patients Perform and assist with central line and arterial line placement, conscious sedation, intubation / extubation, and post-op recovery Manage sternal closures, codes, ECMO cannulation / decannulation, CRRT, and manual PD Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care Adapt to acuity adaptive staffing models and varying patient ratios (1 : 1, 1 : 2, 1 : 3) Maintain meticulous documentation and follow unit guidelines and hospital policies Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment Apply now to join our pediatric healthcare team in Dallas, TX and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
