Leidos is seeking a Sr. SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to partner on a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. The DBA performs day-to-day technical database administration tasks. This includes database design database structure identification database schema definition database access privilege management database query optimization documentation database instance upgrades long-range requirements operational guidelines and database protection. They should have experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint Database Services administration data backs-up data recovery and update and fix security patches. Duties also include reviewing data within the database ensuring user data integrity maintaining database support tools database tables and dictionaries recovery and back-up procedures and making recommendations regarding enhancements and / or improvements.

Primary Tasks :

• This role performs senior level database administration tasks and reviews the technical work of others.
• Conducts database design database structure identification database schema definition database access privilege management database query optimization documentation database instance upgrades long-range requirements operational guidelines and database protection.
• Reviews data within the database ensuring user database integrity maintaining database support tools database tables and dictionaries recovery and back-up procedures and making recommendations regarding enhancements and / or improvements.
• Monitors and manages backend data synchronization applications and external data source retrieval applications.
• Examine customer problems develop and present solutions and then implement appropriate corrective action to initiate a repair or return to normal operations.
• Collaborates on and implements technical solutions with senior management and clients.
• Supports the development and adherence to procedures and policies.
• Provides basic mentorship to junior team members.
• Supports customer requirements in a 24 / 7 / 365 mission environment.
• Updates technical solutions operations and maintenance documentation for 24 / 7 / 365 IT Operations Center (ITOC) personnel.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $107900.00 - $195050.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
