New Door Ventures is an early intervention employment and education program for high-potential transition-age youth (TAY) ages 16-24 who reside in Bay Area communities facing elevated levels of youth disconnection, socioeconomic challenges, and community stress.
Founded in 1981, New Door Ventures was borne out of the belief that by providing resources for youth to build foundational education and job skills, personal support, mentorship, and pathways to higher education and career opportunities, these young people can experience greater success in adulthood. Our strategies provide educational and economic mobility for TAY facing significant barriers to obtaining and retaining unsubsidized employment, empowering youth to make successful transitions to adulthoods marked by economic independence and engagement with their community.
To lead our employment program in San Francisco we are currently hiring a Program Director.
About the Opportunity :
Th e Program Director joins New Door at an exciting time of change. This role will lead the implementation of a strengthened pr ogram model in San Francisco, including partnership building with high school s and the development of career-linked training and work-based learning for youth . Day to day, this role leads par ticipant recruitment, delivery , contract reporting, and external relations . Y ou will coach and manage program staff, ensuring a participant-centered environment, achievement of annual program targets and a reputation as a credible and trusted workforce services provider.
This role is non-exempt and is located primarily on-site at New Door's Mission District, San Francisco location. Currently, New Door Ventures employs a hybrid work location policy, with a 3 : 2 office / remote cadence.

- Community Engagement and External Partnerships : Success includes actively representing New Door Ventures within the local workforce development ecosystem, establishing strong relationships with external partners (e.g., local government, workforce coalitions, funders), and effectively leveraging those relationships to enhance program offerings and participant outcomes.

You'll be out in the world with external engagement and especially will s tay abreast of best practices and serve as a content expert in the area of youth workforce development.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
The equivalent of, or a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related area to training, youth employment or social services.At least eight years of experience managing and developing effective programs with ongoing evaluation, ideally with young people, and with networks within San Francisco .A capacity to build sustainable and productive partnerships with a diverse range of people and organizations, including opportunity youth, board members, business partners, volunteers, funders, consultants, public sector partners, and highly committed staff members.Demonstrated leadership in developing staff, team building, identifying , and achieving metrics and change management.Knowledge / experience / familiarity of the communities New Door delivers programming.Inspirational leader who has exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.An organized and strategic thinker who is comfortable with oversight and project management and holds a high attention to detail.Demonstrable knowledge in conflict resolution and restorative practices.Compensation & Benefits At New Door Ventures, we value our staff and strive to provide competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent in our sector. Program Director is a level 4 position, and the starting salary range for that level is $90,200 (novice) and $1 14 , 00 0 (growing mastery).
