Retail Project Architect / Project Manager

Massa Multimedia Architecture (MMA) is a multi-sector architectural firm with a strong presence in retail, mixed-use development, commercial markets, healthcare, and education (Pre-K through Higher Ed).

We are actively seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager with a solid background in retail and commercial architecture to support and lead projects across our growing national retail portfolio. This role requires a versatile professional skilled in production, project management, and design execution. A dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is client-driven, and passionate about shaping retail spaces across the country.

About the Role :

This role will focus exclusively on our retail portfolio – from big-box to national rollouts and specialty concepts. You’ll be managing both local and national projects, contributing to every phase from conceptual design through construction. Your responsibilities will include :

• Leading the architectural design, documentation, and delivery of retail projects
• Managing schedules, budgets, and production teams
• Interfacing with clients, consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies
• Overseeing site surveys, design coordination, and construction administration
• Mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in retail design
• Maintaining a high level of quality control and assurance across deliverables
