We're partnering with a leading space systems company to hire a Manufacturing Engineering Manager responsible for developing, scaling, and optimizing advanced manufacturing processes for satellite and launch hardware.
This role will build the foundation of a manufacturing-centric culture-driving efficiency, quality, and innovation in a rapidly growing production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish scalable, repeatable manufacturing processes for complex hardware
- Oversee facilities layout, tooling, and process control systems
- Define standards for converting eBOMs to mBOMs and maintain documentation
- Implement training programs for assembly and integration technicians
- Lead the selection and integration of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, VSM)
- Establish KPIs to measure safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Collaborate with design teams on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Test (DFT)
- Lead corrective action efforts for quality or process non-conformances

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering5+ years in manufacturing engineering within aerospace, automotive, or related fieldsMinimum 2 years in leadership or management rolesProven experience standing up new production lines or scaling manufacturing operationsTechnical Expertise
Strong command of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologiesHands-on experience with MES / ERP systems and PLM workflowsKnowledge of AS9100 quality standards and regulated production environmentsExperience with electro-mechanical assembly and precision hardware manufacturingLean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferredU.S. Person status required under export control regulations
