Context

Within the Software Team and, more specifically, within the Data / Platform team, we aim to add more business value to the perception data coming from our Edge Computing Units by combining it with Customer specific context and needs. The Data / Platform team also ensures that we use the best hybrid architecture to both meet the real-time nature of our technology and scale for very large deployments (85 000m²+ covered areas).

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the next‑generation hybrid cloud infrastructure powering our SaaS platform. You will work at the crossroads of Kubernetes, AWS, and high‑performance data streaming , ensuring that our system is secure, reliable, resilient, and scalable.

This role is critical to meeting the stringent cybersecurity, privacy, and availability requirements of our customers (airports, car manufacturers, etc.), while also enabling a seamless and state‑of‑the‑art user experience.

Requirements for the role

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Deployment

Design and operate data services within hybrid Kubernetes clusters (EKS on‑prem and in the cloud) to ingest, process and expose added value KPIs from the perception software stack (near to real‑time and long term aggregated data).

Contribute directly to our existing K3s‑based deployments (full on‑prem and hybrid with EC2 nodes), supporting existing and adding new features.

Deploy and scale real‑time and batch workloads for lidar data processing and storage.

Security & Compliance

Enforce privacy by design by complying with strict cybersecurity standards.

Manage authentication and authorization with AWS Cognito and related services.

Implement network segmentation, encryption, and monitoring to meet enterprise‑grade security requirements.

Reliability & Resilience

Build highly available , self‑healing infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Design resilient and observable services.

Automate deployments and upgrades using Helm / Helmfile, and CI / CD pipelines and k8s Controllers / Operators patterns.

Scalability & Performance

Provides solutions for real‑time processing and large‑scale data storage .

Design solutions for efficient streaming, ingestion, and long‑term analytics .

Ensure secure integration with external BI tools and visualization software .

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience with Kubernetes , including hybrid / on‑prem deployments.

Hands‑on mastery of Kubernetes internals to debug, extend, and support existing K3s clusters .

Proficiency with AWS cloud services and terraform (Cognito, S3, networking, IAM, etc.).

Expertise in security best practices , including customer isolation and compliance frameworks.

Familiarity with CI / CD, Helm, and GitOps workflows.

Knowledge of Kubernetes controllers / operators patterns .

Experience with high‑throughput data processing and distributed storage solutions.

Knowledge of monitoring / observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).

Nice to Have

Background in real‑time data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis with Flink or equivalent).

Experience with edge computing and hybrid architectures.

Exposure to cybersecurity certifications or audits (ISO 27001, SOC2, etc.).

Interest in 3D data, computer vision, or lidar technologies .
