Description :

The Mental Health Professional III works with a dynamic interdisciplinary team of emergency room and psychiatry providers to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

This role requires performing psychiatric assessments and first evaluations for involuntary commitment in-person and via telehealth.

Once the patient is evaluated, the Mental Health Professional III collaborates with emergency room physicians and psychiatrists to make level of care determinations.

They coordinate treatment and discharge plans, liaising with the broader care team to assist with de-escalation in crisis situations.

This role also involves guiding team members through the involuntary commitment process and providing information about inpatient hospitalization and community resources.
