TAX MANAGER - Atlanta, GA
Working with Partners, Managers help to lead, mentor and coach team members in various areas of tax compliance and across consulting engagements. They are responsible for management of engagements and client communications while promoting a collaborative environment to bring value to clients.
Duties and responsibilities
Commitment to Client Service
- Develops effective working relationships with clients and firm associates
- Collaborates with others to provide quality service to clients
- Engages in professional and efficient communication with clients
- Leads client meetings
- Promotes additional services to client when appropriate
- Develops intimate knowledge of clients and their business activities
- Communicates with the IRS and other state authorities in a professional manner
- Stays abreast of current economic and business events
Technical Skills
Exhibits a high level understanding of technical requirements, procedures and principlesDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of specialized industry and / or regulatory requirementsHelps to manage and monitor preparation and review of complex individual, estate, gift, trust and business tax returns, including projections and estimate calculationsReviews and advises on technical research memorandumAbility to apply relevant tax law to clients and circumstancesIdentifies area of specialization and is continuously refining skills, knowledge and expertiseLeading People

Accounting undergraduate degree required, Master's preferredCPA required5+ years of tax experience is requiredAdvanced knowledge of Federal and Georgia income tax laws and principles of individual and business taxation is requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management, organizational and prioritization skillsStrong project management and delegation skillsClick here to apply online
