This position is fully onsite Sunday-Thursday from 7am-3pm. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for preventative maintenance, plant operations, repairs and minor modifications toAir handling units and fixed fansDuctworkReheat coils and boxes,AC compressor chiller systemsWater coolers,Associated control end devicesSteam systemsCoordinates with all trades such as electrical and plumbing to keep all systems operating at highest reliabilityResponsible for implementation of energy conservation techniques on HVAC systemsMakes periodic rounds to all building support equipment and maintains operating log of conditions observedResponsible for maintaining records of work done, time records and P/M records through the CMMS system.Maybe required to be on call.Must provide the highest level of personal protection at all times.Monitor, respond and acknowledge alarms on the BAS systemOther duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMechanical knowledge of occupational machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety on the job for the protection of people, data, property, and the institution.The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule, procedure, or guideline.Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to utilize tools of the trade.The ability to communicate, listen, and comprehend information and ideas and work collaboratively with others.Must be “self-starter” with high degree of initiativeMinimum Job QualificationsHigh school or trade school graduate preferredMA refrigeration tech.
