Senior Software Engineer - AI (San Francisco)

We are looking for a

Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer

to join our team and drive the development of AI-powered financial products and features. In this role, you will design and maintain AI infrastructure, optimize machine learning models, and integrate cutting-edge LLM solutions into production. Key Responsibilities :

AI Strategy & Innovation :

Help drive Kikoffs AI strategy by influencing technical and product decisions and proposing AI-driven solutions to business and user problems.

AI Infrastructure & Operations :

Design, build, and maintain robust AI infrastructure, including data pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring.

Technical Evaluation :

Assess and select AI / ML tools, frameworks, and vendors to enhance our capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate AI models into production systems.

Model Performance & Optimization :

Continuously monitor, evaluate, and refine deployed models to meet accuracy and efficiency goals.

Experimentation & A / B Testing :

Design and execute experiments to optimize AI and product performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Mentorship :

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Qualifications : Education :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Experience :

At least 5 years in software engineering, with a proven track record of deploying AI (preferably LLM-based) solutions in production.

Technical Expertise :

Proficiency in Python or Ruby.

Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Experience with LLM techniques, including prompt engineering.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong analytical skills, with experience in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms.

Communication :

Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

US salary range for this full-time position consists of base + equity + benefits
