Full job description

The welder / fabricator will be responsible to weld / fabricate parts and assemblies of various material thicknesses and sizes. The welder / fabricator must have knowledge / experience with MIG welding. Position requires a team orientated attitude and goal setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• to assemble, tack, and weld steel parts into the finished sub-assembly.
• Ability to use jigs / fixtures to fabricate parts
• Maintain welding and fabricating equipment
• Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for jib overhead cranes
• Able to read blueprints and tape measure
• Work as a team member
• Weld various thicknesses and sizes of sheet metal, tube, angle, formed sheets, and etc
• Determine welder settings as required
• Desire to learn
• Meet with and follow direction of supervisor
• Follow safety guidelines
• Operate various fabricating equipment
• Keep work area clean
• Regular attendance
• Update paperwork to reflect any changes
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs on a regular basis
• Other duties as assigned
