Credentialing Specialist

A company is looking for a Credentialing Specialist responsible for coordinating and overseeing credentialing functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain procedures for credentialing new and existing medical staff

Enroll providers with government payors and commercial health plans while managing revalidation processes

Maintain current medical staff provider files, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and compliance with regulations

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in business or health-related field preferred

Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical staff credentialing within a hospital or physician practice setting

Experience with healthcare credentialing and enrollment through various portals preferred

CPMSM and / or CPCS Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services strongly encouraged

Expertise in medical terminology preferred
