Position Overview
The Development and Construction (D&C) team within Rockhill is dedicated to managing ground up development, tenant improvements, and capital expenditure projects within the Rockpoint portfolio, providing best in class expertise and value add outcomes. The D&C team is seeking a Senior Project Accountant who will manage multiple projects across various locations and serve as the primary liaison to the Vice Presidents of the Development & Construction (D&C) teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the accounting lead for all development and construction projects within the assigned portfolio
- Help establish and reinforce best practices in project accounting controls, policies, and procedures to ensure draw packages submitted to project lenders align with ownership objectives
- Import developers\' budgets into Procore (the construction software platform) and assist the D&C VPs in preparing, reviewing, and updating project budgets, including hard costs, soft costs, and contingencies, while tracking and forecasting cash flow to ensure financial stability
- Track and assist in managing budgets, commitments, invoices, and actual costs across multiple development projects
- Draw Processing to the Lender or the RP Funds :
- Prepare and submit lender draw requests with all required documentation (invoices, lien waivers, pay applications, schedules of values, etc.)
- Review and validate contractor / vendor invoices, contracts, and change orders
- Coordinate approvals with D&C VPs, contractors, and accounting teams; resolve discrepancies as needed
- Track submissions through funding and reconcile draw proceeds against project budgets and accounting records
- Process vendor payments promptly after funding (via check, ACH, or wire)
- Maintain regular communication with lenders to ensure compliance and address inquiries
- Liaise with investment deal teams to ensure cash flow projections and payment advances are scheduled, monitored, and executed as planned
- Prepare monthly or quarterly financial reports and cash flow projections for development projects
- Leverage and become proficient in construction accounting systems, including Procore and MRI
- Work with the D&C Executive Vice President to update the Work in Progress (WIP) report bi-monthly across all projects in the D&C portfolio

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldStrong knowledge of construction accounting principles5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in construction or developmentProficiency with Excel and project accounting systemsExceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyLocation : This position is based in Boston, MA (hybrid)
Compensation : The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
