Job description

Sales Account Manager

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Account Manager to lead Conair's Beauty Hair Accessory business for the Target account. This pivotal role is perfect for a results-driven leader with a passion for innovation, strategy, and team empowerment.

As the National Account Manager, you will have full ownership of managing and growing Conair's hair accessories, brushes, hair tools, and grooming categories at Target. You'll drive sales performance, forge strong customer relationships, and play a key role in shaping the future of our beauty business. With a focus on exceeding annual sales plans and company profit goals, this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-visibility role.

We need someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, with a proven track record in leadership and sales strategy. If you're an outstanding communicator, negotiator, and motivator, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, inspire, and drive the performance of your sales team to increase sales and deepen relationships within Conair's Beauty business at Target.
  • Design and implement forward-thinking sales strategies to surpass targets.
  • Own all aspects of Account Management within your categories, while managing and developing your sales team and collaborating with internal teams on strategy.
  • Build and nurture lasting partnerships with Target to grow loyalty and expand our footprint.
  • Set and track ambitious weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives.
  • Provide in-depth, actionable sales reports that guide future strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Target to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions, while developing long term product growth goals with marketing teams.
  • Evaluate costs, competition, and market trends to set strategic, competitive pricing.
  • Drive growth through innovative and strategic account-level plans.
  • Accurately forecast sales volumes and profitability for both current and new products.

What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience selling to Target and 5+ years managing teams.
  • A deep understanding of marketing and sales strategies, with the ability to execute and deliver results consistently.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills, capable of managing multiple projects on tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Must be based in the Minneapolis, MN area.
  • Strong knowledge and use of Target POL system for sales tracking and financials.

    Environmental Factors :

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (15-25% if needed).
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the office 75% of time.
