Security Officer Flex - Access Control

As a Security Officer Flex - Access Control in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a thriving logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the site. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting the ongoing movement of people and goods. Job Schedule :

DayTimeSat07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Manage access control for employees, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and security-related procedures as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report on security-related matters within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs, reports, and records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by the site and Allied Universal.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as necessary during emergency response activities or security-related incidents.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
