Security Officer - Unarmed Aero Patrol PT

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Aero Patrol PT in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero / Defense, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a sense of security, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior within the facility.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and / or maintenance needs according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment in an aerospace and defense setting.
  • Follow all company and site-specific protocols, including those related to emergency preparedness and response.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
