User Interface Platform Engineer

We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about working with custom applications and helping to create capabilities to help our stakeholders solve their complex use cases.

As a User Interface Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

General Responsibilities :

Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

Design and plan features based on requirements and work with other engineers to create prototypes for all of our custom internal applications

Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies

Take the lead on providing guidance to junior engineers and helping them to contribute in prototyping new applications or features

Bring a passion to ensure our custom full stack applications provide the best possible experience for our users to enable them to solve complex problems and gain efficiencies.

Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity

Basic Qualifications :

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

At least 4 years of experience in UX design

At least 2 years of experience with design and prototyping tools (Adobe Products, Sketch or Figma)

At least 2 years of experience with design mockups, experience flows and prototyping

Preferred Qualifications :

3+ years of experience with AWS

3+ years of designing for cross-channel experiences

Strong understanding of IT Support and Software Development processes

3+ years of experience working with Product and Tech partners

Familiarity with working and contributing to and established design system

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site) : $134,100 - $153,000 for Senior Platform Engineer

San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site) : $142,100 - $162,100 for Senior Platform Engineer

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI).

Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
