HR Area Manager - Salinas, CA
Sanitation Specialists is looking for a Human Resources Area Manager.

Compensation : $95k
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
RESPONSIBLITIES :
- Maintaining employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Identify new opportunities in your region where HR can support and drive business goals and objectives.
- Ensure employees follow all policies and procedures
- Assess reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs
- Suggest changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs
- Provide the best-in-class customer service to our internal customers.
- Visit each location at least once per month
- Remedy escalated field operations issues in the areas of employee relations, corrective action, compensation, and benefits.
- Be proactive beyond the call of duty with an adaptable, agile approach and a willingness to assist others whenever needed.
- Lead the business in people processes such as performance management, talent reviews, salary planning and succession planning.
- Lead change and model collaborative behaviors to support our internal business partners and to drive business outcomes.
- Ensures consistent implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs within the area.
- Manages local HR issues, including employee relations, recruitment, and compliance with labor laws.
- Works closely with site managers to address day-to-day HR concerns.
- Assisting in employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Responding to employee inquiries and providing basic HR-related information.
- Assisting in HR projects, such as training initiatives, policy implementation, or compliance tasks.
- Coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and preparing HR-related reports or presentations.
- Managing office correspondence and ensuring HR documents are organized and up to date.
- Assisting with event planning or coordination for HR-related activities.
- Collaborating with other departments as needed to support overall organizational goals.
- Processes attendance, requests for time off and employee action forms daily.
- Monitors employee timecards follow up with employees regarding timecard corrections.
- Conducts virtual or in - person orientation for new hires.
- Be a liaison between Operations and HR, payroll, and benefits, to ensure needed communication is timely and accurate.
- Processes full cycle off-boarding and coordinates exit interviews.
- Runs performance evaluation reports for managers and ensures evaluations are executed in a timely manner.
- Scans, files, mails, and emails documents to designated recipients in a timely manner.
- Completes, scans and stores employee related documents and maintains personnel files.
- Keeps track of office supplies and uniform inventory and processes orders when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Work Experience : At least 2 years of experience working as an HR Manager in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating practical knowledge and expertise in related area.Personal Attributes : Demonstrate dependability, respectfulness, and motivation, with proficient oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate and comprehend concepts related to essential job functions.Time Management : Exhibit proficient time management skills to complete assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.Organizational Skills : Possess organization and attention to detail, capable of working independently or as part of a team with a positive and proactive attitude.PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS :
The position is 25% seated work, 75% standing, walking, and moving. Employee may occasionally bend, kneel, and squat and must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
