JOB PURPOSE

The Meals on Wheels Coordinator / Driver is responsible for ensuring effective and compassionate delivery of home-delivered meal services to eligible clients while supporting daily program operations. This position serves as both a driver and an administrative coordinator providing direct meal delivery support and assisting with client intake service continuity and communication between clients caregivers case managers and internal staff. The role works closely with the Meals on Wheels Manager to maintain efficient service address client needs and ensure excellent program operations with dignity and respect.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Meal Delivery and Driving 50%

• Loading unloading preparing inspecting and operating delivery vehicles safely
• Transporting and delivering meals and essential items to clients in a timely and respectful manner
• Reviewing items prior to delivery to ensure quality and freshness
• Abiding by all transportation laws safety regulations and maintaining a clean driving record
• Wearing The Just One Project branded clothing while in the community
• Monitoring vehicle wear and tear and reporting maintenance needs promptly
• Escalating unsafe vehicles driving conditions or delivery concerns to the Meals on Wheels Manager
• Providing real time feedback on route barriers client needs and delivery challenges
