We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Assistant to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will support our accounting department by performing essential financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless daily operations. Responsibilities :
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute invoices, financial reports, and statements in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and update general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
- Assist in payroll processing while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Organize and maintain financial records to ensure easy access and up-to-date information.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to complete month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Provide support for various financial projects and administrative tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
