We’re looking for Forklift Operator’s to work in our client’s Covington, GA Location! Earn up to $ in a fast paced, fun environment, performing all duties necessary to accurately select all types of customer orders according to established company methods, quality standards and production requirements.

These are temp-to-hire positions convert to a full-time employee after 520 hours of work!

About the Role :

Accurately selects all types of customer orders using a Forklift; handles products carefully to avoid damage; creates accurate labels for packaging using specialized software and printer;

removes waste packaging and places in trash compactor; restocks product to appropriate bin location; operates a pallet jack in accordance with established safety guidelines.

Available Shift Times :

Night Shift : Tuesday Saturday, 11 : 00pm 7 : 00am

Requirements :

2-4 years stable Forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, utilize basic math skills, and apply common sense in carrying out instructions.

Perform daily inspection of the forklift truck and report deficiencies to the team leader or Warehouse Manager.

• Inspect each trailer and record the data on the "Daily Truck Inspection Log".
• OUT-BOUND load truck(s) according to pick up #, / designation. After driver signs all paperwork, turn correct copies back into shipping clerk.
• IN-BOUND Unload truck(s) to the staging area; verify accuracy of delivered goods versus the bill of lading. Sign the bill of lading notating any damages or shortages.

Get exception # from driver if any shortages or damages noted. Write on packing slip, & truck bill.

• Record and label OTC incoming components as required.
• After labeling components / pallets, transfer to correct warehouse location, as time permits.
• Perform housekeeping duties as scheduled by the team leader.
• Move components being placed on hold by Quality Assurance, to designated hold area, waiting disposition.
• Report any damages to equipment or inventory to the team leader or Warehouse Manager immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Functional Responsibilities

Perform counts and pulling samples.

Education and / or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

ESSENTIAL MENTAL ALERTNESS REQUIREMENTS

Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions?

Ability to work in an unfatigued state

Demonstrated caring, committed and concerned attitude about safety

Must be able to lift up 50 pounds

Job Site Requirements :

What to Wear : Warehouse attire, steel-toe shoes are required
