The Division of Hospital and Palliative (HPM) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC seeks exceptional Internal Medicine Hospitalists to join our division. These are unique full-time faculty positions with an emphasis on inpatient clinical practice at Keck Medical Center of USC.
Clinical responsibilities within the Division include rotations at Keck Medical Center of USC with teaching responsibilities as well as direct patient care with co-management of select surgical patients. The Hospital Medicine Program provides /7 coverage with hospitalists covering a handful of nights per year and approximately - weekends. Full time Nocturnist positions are also available for those applicants seeking this type of position.
In addition to their inpatient clinical responsibilities, selected applicants will have significant opportunities to engage in the development of students and residents. As faculty within the Keck School of Medicine, our clinical team engages with students at varying levels of medical school while on our clinical services. The clinical program also offers a unique opportunity to provide oversight over learners from three different residency programs on our clinical teams. This diverse and broad exposure to learners allows for formal teaching opportunities at the medical school level, engagement in varying resident didactic sessions, and participation in education conferences. Selected applicants will be expected to engage in such extracurricular professional and development activities as well as participate in medical center committee membership and quality and safety improvement initiatives.
