Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS)
Education : High School Diploma (Bachelors Degree Preferred)
The Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) will occupy a dual role with overlapping responsibilities. QMHS will assist with the intake process for onboarding clients and will be responsible for the implementation of individual service plans (ISPs). Personnel in this role will collaborate with the Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to create ISPs and provide services that support client progress. The QMHS will take a therapeutic approach to case management that accounts for clients mental state and self-identified needs. They will be responsible for tracking and recording client progress through case management notes and monthly reports.
The QMHS will be responsible for a caseload of 10-15 clients. They will provide mental health services to dual clients and be responsible for coordinating therapy / counseling sessions with the LSW. The QMHS will routinely meet with their clients to assess their progress and address their needs / concerns as they arise. They will be responsible for completing notes for their clients and submitting them to the LISW by 5 : 00 pm each Friday. The QMHS will also submit monthly client reports to the LSW for review. QMHS will be responsible for connecting clients to community resources as necessary and advocating on their behalf. The QMHS will meet regularly with the Licensed Social Worker and the LISW to ensure effective communication and collaboration. This position reports directly to the LISW.
