Overview
The Event Intern provides assistance to the Event Managers for the day to day operations of the guest services department to specifically include all event planning and staffing needs.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $14.00.

Addition Financial Arena
Addition Financial Arena boasts 10,000 seats, 18 luxury suites, two loge boxes, and club seating with lounge access. Offering a diverse lineup of shows, including world-famous entertainers, beloved family shows, and special events. Addition Financial Arena is also the home to UCF men’s and women’s basketball. Addition Financial Arena is located on the campus of the University of Central Florida.
The Venue at UCF
The Venue at UCF opened in October 2008 and offers 1,400 seating, a multi-purpose facility, and is located on the north side of Addition Financial Arena. It is also the home of the UCF Women's Volleyball team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in training, motivating, and evaluating part time event staff
- Work with Event Managers to correct department deficiencies
- Learn to lead, manage, and supervise part time event staff
- Learn to read and understand event diagrams and event instructions
- Learn event configuration standards and set-up requirements
- Learn the various departments in the building and their event day responsibilities
- Gain hands on experience in the event planning process, having the opportunity to learn and impact a wide array of events
