Salary : $120,000 - $135,000

Job Summary :

The Informatics Specialist II plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between clinical practice and information technology. This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting clinical information systems to enhance patient care, improve efficiency, and optimize workflow.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related field required
• 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics or a related field
• Meditech experience with Physician Documentation (PDOC) and Order Management (OM / OE) required
• Provider Training experience required
• Master’s Degree in Health Informatics or a related field preferred
• Certification in Clinical informatics preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and processes
• Experience with clinical systems, such as electronic health records and clinical decision support systems
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations (e.g. HIPAA)
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) preferred

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and other stakeholders to identify clinical workflow inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement

Elicit, document, and validate requirements from various stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and staff

Participate in the design and development of clinical information systems, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows and organizational goals

Monitor system performance and identify and resolve technical issues

Develop and deliver training programs for Meditech providers (MD / DO, NP, PA, Residents)

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and training materials

Contribute to clinical informatics projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation

Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
