Responsibilities :

• Acts as the first point of contact within the department.
• Records and transfers general patient information to appropriate staff members.
• Schedules Outpatient Specialty Services appointments.
• Handles a variety of customer inquiries or requests and will use the appropriate resources to complete accurate responses or transfer of the information to appropriate staff members.
• Makes outbound calls to patients to remind & / or reschedule their Outpatient clinic or procedure appointments as needed.
• Follows the cleaning, disinfecting, sterilization, storage & maintenance of endoscopes according to established hospital policies and procedures.
• Rooms patients & obtains vital signs as assigned.
• Cleans patient rooms after use according to policy.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
