Regional Sales Manager (Portable Gas Detection / Respiratory Protection)

This is a remote position. Candidate must live in the region in any of these states : WI, ND, SD, NE, IA, MN & Northern IL

Job Responsibilities
- The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for building the Draeger Fire and Gas Detection Systems business in the assigned geographic territory through new business development with identified target customers and growing the installed base with existing customers including service contracts.
- Identify, manage and drive manufacturers' representatives as necessary within the territory.
- Strategic Territory / Scope Management : identify potential target end-users & prioritize accounts and opportunities to produce the best results using both direct and indirect sales channels.
- Build a strong distributor network aligned with the company's distributor & vertical market strategy designed to maximize Draeger sales & profits.
- Maintain awareness of market trends and the competition, and share insights with internal stakeholders.
- Develop an annual sales plan and apply time & territory management techniques to maximize productivity; plan sales activities 30–60 days in advance.
- Value Selling : conduct research as part of pre-call planning to identify decision makers & influencers, and to anticipate customer needs.
- Probe to understand and uncover customer needs based on the customer's application and promote value, not price.
- Present Draeger products and services as a solution to customer needs; remain current with safety regulations and policies relevant to the product being sold.
- Sales Administration : utilize tools such as CRM, email, word processing, presentations and spreadsheets; maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Control expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Manage and maintain consignment and demo equipment with accurate record keeping and cost-effective utilization.
- Project Management / Complex Sale Coordination : design and plan complex product and application solutions; oversee bids / tenders / RFPs and price negotiations using internal resources as needed.
- Coordinate with internal resources and the customer for initial operation approval of the solution (setup / installation / operational approval / implementation).
- Support release of full documentation and handover of technical data to the customer.
- Execute service agreements in collaboration with the Draeger Service department / external providers.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or a technical related discipline from an accredited university.5+ years selling within the Industrial Market (Oil, Gas, Food, Manufacturing, etc.) required.Special Competencies Or Certifications
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.Ability to perform routine arithmetic calculations and understand pricing structures and gross margins.Effective written and verbal communication to articulate company and product information to customers.Operate computer and office equipment.Understand the technical aspects of the products and their applications.Willingness to travel up to 50%Reside within the covered territoryCompensation & Benefits
The compensation includes a base salary of $85,000 plus uncapped commission based on sales performance. On Target Earnings (OTE) are $125,000 annually at 100% of quota, with the potential to exceed this based on individual results.
