Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule : MondayFriday, 8 : 30 AM 3 : 40 PM
Compensation : $35+ hourly

We are currently seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our district-wide team and provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all students have equitable access to education and the support they need to thrive.
Responsibilities include :
Planning and delivering instructional lessons that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of visually impaired students
Creating a classroom environment that encourages student engagement, participation, and growth
Collaborating with administrators, teachers, and families to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
Employing innovative techniques and adapting curriculum materials to meet student learning goals
Supporting students in developing independence, confidence, and academic success
Qualifications :
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
Endorsement as a Teacher of Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
