Personal Injury Litigator – Lexington, KY
Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers is hiring an experienced litigator (insurance defense or Plaintiff’s background) to join our team. The ideal candidate will love to win and hate to lose; relish taking on big insurance companies and corporations on behalf of the working class, thrive under pressure, meticulously prepare, dig deep to uncover the truth, manage chaos effectively, receive instructions well while not needing micro-management to identify what needs to be done, not be complacent with “going through the motions,” continuously move cases forward without letting any slip, and possess excellent client management skills. Experience in trucking cases and trial preparation is preferred.
Make an Immediate Impact
You will :
- Support cases valued at high-six, seven, and eight figures and lead a different set of important cases.
- Build and execute individually tailored discovery plans
- Draft winning pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Take and defend depositions (fact, expert, treating, corporate representatives, etc.)
- Prepare witnesses, run the tech, and be an active part of trials
- Get out in the field with experts for inspections, downloads, preservation, etc.
- Apply the FMCSRs and trucking industry standards to build cases against all responsible parties
- Negotiate with carriers and defense counsel
- Travel across Kentucky for hearings, depositions, inspections, client meetings, etc.
- Gain access to and learn from national Plaintiff’s trucking and trial lawyer groups and networks
- Be given the resources needed to ensure our clients have their cases incredibly well-built
What It Takes
Active Kentucky Bar License (federal admissions also preferred).Experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation.Competitive fire. Seriously.
