Rate $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.

Central time hours - 100% remote

Description

The Procurement / Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, managing purchase orders (POs), and supporting contract administration. This entry-level role emphasizes critical thinking, customer service, and attention to detail while ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Process invoices and ensure POs match corresponding orders.

Resolve discrepancies between POs and invoice amounts, including performing necessary calculations.

Review standard contract templates, checking for basic criteria and compliance.

Act as liaison during contract negotiations, assigning redlined NDAs to the legal team as needed.

Update POs based on cost center changes requested by the FP&A team.

Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive supplier relationships to secure favorable terms.

Partner with finance teams to align procurement activities with budgetary constraints while optimizing spending and seeking cost-saving opportunities.

Assist internal stakeholders with submitting and approving requests within the Workday ERP system.

Communicate procurement updates and generate management reports.

Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices for greater efficiency.

Provide training to internal teams on procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required (Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or related discipline); equivalent work experience considered.

Preferred : 1 year of experience in procurement, accounts payable, purchasing, or a related field (including internships).

Experience with ERP systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Strong critical thinking, customer service, and communication skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to pay attention and follow directions.
