Senior Staff Accountant

Our client in Fort Lauderdale is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. This position will make sure financial transactions are recorded properly in the general ledger and produce accurate financial statements.

The Senior Staff Accountant will work on complex balance sheets, P&L statements, and various financial reports.

Experience You Bring to the Table

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 4 Years of Accounting Work Experience
• Ability to perform VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Formulas within Excel
• ERP Accounting System Experience

What You'll Be Doing :

• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Compiling intricate financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flows
• Scrutinizing general ledger accounts and making necessary adjustments
• Conducting thorough account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany accounts
• Managing general ledger charts of accounts
• Assisting with month-end closing procedures, rectifying account discrepancies, and processing accrual entries
• Supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable teams in monitoring work progress
• Analyzing financial data using advanced spreadsheet techniques and validation methods
• Managing fixed and intangible asset schedules
• Aiding in internal control assessments
• Processing monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals
• Conducting complex account analyses and reconciliations between subsidiary and general ledgers
• Preparing and submitting sales tax returns
• Analyzing transactions with both internal and external stakeholders
• Overseeing month-end and year-end closing activities
• Collaborating with external auditors and facilitating audit document preparation and management
