General gastroenterology services including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, and liverServices include pillcam capsule endoscopy, screening exams, ultrasounds (EUS), CT colonography, flexible sigmoidoscopy, double-contrast barium enema, FIT, gFOBT, stool DNA test, ERCP, endoscopy, and colonoscopyTrauma Level : IIIEMR : EPICGI Physician will be responsible for placing orders that they will be recommendingInpatient coverage, 100% hospital basedNo clinic; outpatient scoping depending on needSupport Staff : 3 NPs100% Adult patientsAverage Patients per Day : Hospital : 10Average Surgeries per Day : 20 (approximate)Trauma : 0-1, Elective : 0-1, Inpatient Scopes : 5
All Inpatient, none are OP scopesAny inpatient request for anesthesia will fall into when an anesthesiologist is available, just like any add on surgery caseRequirements
Board Status : Board Certified or Board Eligible (5-yr from training)Experience : More than 2 yearsCertifications : ACLS-AHA issued, BLS-AHA issuedACLS required if performing conscious sedation
