Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join a high-impact initiative - the NextGen Program - focused on delivering a next-generation platform, including a Unified Calculation Engine , metadata-driven logic services , and modular business capabilities .
This role is highly collaborative, interfacing with SCRUM teams, architects, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders. The BSA will use tools like Enterprise Architect (EA) and Miro to model domains, define system interaction diagrams, and support requirements gathering - without coding responsibilities . You will play a key role in ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning, Requirements & Modeling
- Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements using use case driven approaches in Agile / SCRUM environments.
- Develop and maintain domain models , capability maps , and data dictionaries using EA and Miro .
- Translate business processes into modular service boundaries and identify reusable business logic .
- Drive MVP planning , define milestones , and establish clear acceptance criteria and dependencies .
System Integration Documentation & Design
Translate business needs into structured logic flows , workflow rules , and technical documentation for modular services.Define integration payloads and dialect requirements ( JSON, XML ) to support API design (no coding required).Ensure accurate documentation and alignment with EA models and system diagrams.Automation & SDLC Enablement
Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.Collaborate with QA / test automation teams (e.g., Tosca , UiPath ) to ensure traceability and testability.Maintain alignment between EA models , Jira stories , and Confluence documentation .Audit, Controls & Governance
Document business logic and system behaviors in compliance with SOX and FINSIG controls.Support audit walkthroughs by maintaining traceability between rules, requirements, and test cases.Define metadata-driven rule frameworks to promote transparency and reusability.Communication & Reporting
Deliver professional-grade documentation : process flows , capability diagrams , decision tables , integration specs , and glossaries .Serve as a liaison between product, development, and business teams to resolve ambiguity and mitigate delivery risks.Create progress visuals and milestone updates for leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems , Business Administration , or a related field (Master's preferred).Experience
6+ years as a Business Systems Analyst in enterprise software or platform modernization projects.Proven experience working in Agile / SCRUM environments on cross-functional teams.Prior experience modeling systems using Enterprise Architect (EA) or equivalent tools.Familiarity with cloud-native systems , modular design , and data-driven business rules .Skills & Tools
Proficiency with tools like EA , Jira , Confluence , Miro , Visio .Strong ability in business process modeling , workflow design , and requirements documentation .Understanding of integration structures (JSON / XML) for documentation purposes only (not development).Exposure to automation platforms such as Tosca or UiPath , and knowledge of audit frameworks (SOX, FINSIG).Preferred Traits
