Hospital Billing Specialist

(Possible remote opportunity but must be based in San Antonio, TX)

About the Job

The billing specialist has responsibility for all aspects of claims processing including but not limited to data entry, working claim rejections, ensuring proper payment posting and keeping up with the ever-changing billing guidelines and local coverage determinations of each insurance.

Minimum Requirements :

• 2 years professional medical claims billing / data entry, preferable experience in hospital billing / data entry.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience managing multiple tasks or priorities.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.
• Demonstrated typing proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in time sensitive situations.
• Demonstrated independent and critical decision-making skills.
• Understanding of people and a sense of fairness and consistency
• High integrity and confidentiality
