Responsibilities
General Purpose : The Development Manager, Parents Program, acts as a key team member to the Parents Program, Student Life and Academic Excellence Teams, consisting of a Senior Director of Advancement, Parents Program, Executive Director of Advancement for Student Life and Academic Excellence. The Development Manager collaborates closely with the Dean of Students, AVP for University Student Life, and Academic Excellence campus partners. This position requires the ability to demonstrate initiative, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and exercise independent judgment to expertly execute events and manage prospective donor relationships. The incumbent is expected to develop and maintain a portfolio of major and annual gift prospects and serve as the primary volunteer manager for Parents Council. This role will manage the annual Parents Council program and will facilitate volunteer meetings with university leadership, annual suite of engagement events, and manage volunteer and donor engagement in partnership with admissions, the career center, and parent volunteers. Must have good judgment, be able to problem solve, embrace the team concept, have excellent customer relations skills and be able to adjust to changing priorities and challenges in a busy environment.
