Complex Claims Consulting Director - Financial Lines D&O / E&O

This individual contributor position manages the most complex, high-exposure Specialty claims, working closely with senior-level leaders. Responsibilities include managing all claim resolution activities in accordance with company protocols for a diverse range of high-severity D&O and E&O claims, achieving quality and customer service standards.

The ideal candidate has attended mediations, been involved in negotiating settlements involving insurance claims, and has a strong understanding of specialty insurance industry products, policy language, coverage, and claim practices.

Job Responsibilities :

• Manages an inventory of complex Public D&O and Financial Institutions E&O claims, following company protocols to manage and oversee all aspects of claim handling.
• Ensures exceptional customer service, driving continuous improvements and achieving quality and cycle time standards.
• Verifies coverage, sets and manages timely and adequate reserves, and leads focused investigations to determine compensability, liability, and covered damages.
• Drives the resolution of claims, collaborating with internal and external business partners to develop and execute a claim resolution strategy.
• Establishes and manages significant claim budgets, delivering high-quality services and coordinating efforts leading to timely resolution.
• Discovers and addresses subrogation / salvage opportunities or potential fraud occurrences, evaluating the facts of the claim and making referrals as necessary.
• Achieves quality standards, effectively managing each claim to ensure company protocols are followed, work is accurate and timely, and claims are resolved and paid timely.
• Prepares and presents complex information to senior leadership, customers, counsel, and others, effectively identifying high-profile matters and developing executive loss summaries.
• Maintains subject matter expertise, ensuring compliance with state / local regulatory requirements, and may represent the company in industry trade groups or events.
• Mentors, guides, develops, and delivers training to less experienced Claim Professionals.

Education and Experience :

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The national base pay range for this job level is $97,000 to $189,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
