Location-City Alexandria School / Division LSUNO DENTISTRY Department LSUNO Dental Hygiene Position Summary The program will consist of 6 students in each of the two clinical dental hygiene years (total of 12).
The faculty member would be responsible for all academic aspects of the program management at that location. They will be calibrated with faculty at the main campus in New Orleans and manage the clinical teaching in the 5-unit clinic.
Other duties include ensuring maintenance of all CODA standards and the delivery and / or coordination of didactic, pre-clinical, lab and clinical aspects of the program with the New Orleans site.
They will work with the site supervisor to schedule and organize part-time faculty, supervising dentists, student patient care schedules and enrichment sites.
They will stay in communication with main campus faculty to oversee student outcomes and exams as well as oversee and report on all local dental hygiene faculty and staff.
They will coordinate all dental equipment maintenance and repairs. Additional Position Information Pre-clinical, clinical, radiology lab, dental materials labs, courses and local anesthesia lab must all be taught at that location and this faculty member will be part of the teaching team in place to provide these and chairside teaching.
Some travel is involved both locally to dental offices and clinics to establish sites for enrichment and to New Orleans for graduation and other similar events.
