About the Program :

Family Connects is an evidence-based home visiting program that helps parents navigate the critical postpartum period. Our nurses provide a three-week home visit, offering guidance, education, and connections to resources that promote healthy outcomes for both parents and infants.

• Identify family strengths and needs
• Provide education, support, and advocacy
• Connect families with community resources and referrals

Minimum Qualifications / Necessary Special Requirements :

Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate degree nursing program with a minimum of one (1) year experience in public health nursing; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

Possession of a valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Nebraska.

Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.

To be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week.

To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.

Temporary, seasonal, and unclassified employees are not eligible for benefits.
