As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in our legal team by :
- Welcoming clients and guests, providing excellent customer service by greeting them in person and on the telephone, and efficiently directing inquiries.
- Producing and organizing case-related information through transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, and retrieving documents, while coordinating case preparation activities.
- Conserving attorneys' time by thoroughly reviewing and verifying correspondence, reports, and legal documents; drafting letters; conducting research; and gathering necessary information.
- Coordinating attorney schedules by planning conferences, teleconferences, and travel, while meticulously tracking court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements.
- Communicating on behalf of attorneys to obtain important information and following up on specific assignments, knowing when to escalate matters.
- Documenting attorney billable hours and expenses to generate revenues and preparing detailed invoices, while tracking payments.
- Maintaining client confidentiality to foster trust and confidence within our legal practice.
- Organizing and maintaining filing and retrieval systems for easy access to historical records and evidence documentation.
- Managing office supplies by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and evaluating new products for efficiency.
- Ensuring equipment is operational by performing preventive maintenance and arranging for repairs when necessary.
